INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 pounds chicken Drumsticks
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 4 large cloves garlic finely chopped

SAUCE:

  • 4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1/2 cup sriracha
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar

 

Sweet and Spicy Sriracha Honey Lime Drumsticks

This recipe really dives into flavor exploration with sweet, spicy, and tangy all in one. With a meat like drumsticks, you are likely to impress your friends and family on a budget! You can’t go wrong mixing your drumsticks with sriracha, especially for the superbowl or any big sports games coming up!

Preparation:

-Bring the drumsticks up to room temperature.

-Preheat your grill to 250 degrees.

-In a large bowl, mix the drumsticks, chopped garlic, salt, and 2 tbsp of melted butter. Mix thoroughly.

-Place the drumsticks evenly across the grates.

-While the chicken is cooking, melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Whisk in sriracha, honey, soy sauce, cilantro, lime juice, and vinegar until combined.

-Cover the finished sauce until the drumsticks have a crispy outside (approximately 2 hrs).

-Take the meat off and turn the grill up to 450 degrees.

-Apply a light coat of the sriracha sauce on the meat and place them back on the grill for 15-20 minutes until crispy.

-Take the meat off and place them in a large bowl while they’re hot. Douse them with sauce and mix until they are completely covered.

-Garnish with cilantro for presentation.
